Bumiputera involvement in the country’s economy and businesses are far behind.

This is the opinion of the President of the Society of Young Entrepreneurs Malaysia, Agil Faisal Ahmad Fadzil.

He says more than 80% of small and medium enterprises have a capital of less than RM250,000.

“We can see how weak the Bumiputera entrepreneurs are in this country,” he said.

Malay entrepreneur, Shamsurizam Norsham feels that the lack of Bumiputera in business can be overcome if entrepreneurial programs are introduced in schools.

“We have to get students from high schools and universities interested and involved in entrepreneurial program,” he said.
