The Budget 2015 to be presented by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak on Friday is expected to focus on rural development, especially in Sabah and Sarawak.

Kinabatangan MP Datuk Bung Moktar Radin is optimistic that Budget 2015 will benefit all citizens, particularly the low and middle income group.

"I think the coming budget is for the people as well and will also focus on strengthening the country's economy.

"We also believe that the prime minister will give more attention on developing rural areas, particularly in Sabah and Sarawak," he said in a statement here Tuesday.

Bung Moktar, who is also Felcra chairman, said the development of basic infrastructure such as electricity, clean water and roads in rural areas should be taken note of because many areas, particularly in the state, still require these basic developments.

He said the Prime Minister is also expected to focus on safety, particularly involving the Eastern Sabah Security Zone (ESSZone).
