Towards General Election-13 (GE-13), there were various statements that suggested that manifestors raised by political parties are simply impossible to implement, or just a mere empty promises, as the party hopes to win the people's votes.

However, according to Dean of Student Development and Alumni, College of Law, Government and International Studies, Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM), Dr. Muhammad Fuad Othman, the manifesto raised by the Barisan Nasional (BN) is something that can be achieved.

"For me, what is offered the BN is merely a continuation of efforts have been carried out before and I believe it could be fulfill based on the track record and end result of the party's efforts," he said.

He added that BN offer most promise in stages where it is seen as much more logical action rather then drastic change that could affect the country’s economic growth.

"I think the government has taken the right steps when BR1M aid is gradually increased because dramatically rises will give a huge burden on the country's finances," said Fuad with confidence.

When questioned about the manifesto of the Pakatan Rakyat (PR), these were his comments.

“I believe most offer from PR manifesto are implementable but at the same time it will give a huge burden on the country’s finances,” said Fuad.
