UMNO vice-president Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein said Datuk AB Aziz Kaprawi’s statement on disciplinary action against Tan Sri Muyiddin Yassin for the ‘leaked video’, was made in his personal capacity.

He said Aziz’s statement did not represent other Supreme Council (MT) members or UMNO Disciplinary Committee.

“That is Aziz’s personal views. Whether disciplinary action will be taken or not, let it be through proper channels,” he said.

“That is his view and I respect that. But one MT member’s opinion is not final,” he said at a press conference after officiating UMNO Batu division meeting at Kompleks Darul Kifayah, Batu.

However, Hishammuddin said the disciplinary committee may not share the views of a MT member.

“Maybe the committee has other views over the matter. We leave it to those responsible,” Hishammuddin said.

Asked on his personal views on the leaked video, Hishammuddin said he needs to discuss it with the Management Committee.

In a 57-second video uploaded on news portal Malaysiakini, Muhyiddin is seen talking to several guests at his residence including Kedah Menteri Besar Datuk Mukhriz Mahathir and Tan Sri Kadir Sheikh Fadzir.

In the video, Muhyiddin claimed Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak had admitted to him that a large amount of money was transferred to his personal accounts.
