Two army personnel were slightly injured by flying bits of ceiling material after observing a bomb explosion demonstration held in conjunction with the Defence Service Asia' (DSA) exhibition at the Putra World Trade Centre here today.

Kuala Lumpur Fire and Rescue (Bomba) director Khiruddin Drahman said of the two army personnel, one was slightly injured in the head while the other was unconscious after he was hit by falling ceiling debris.

"However, the two are in stable condition and are being treated at the Kuala Lumpur Hospital.

"The incident was caused by the demonstration of an actual bomb explosion by an army team, causing a part of the ceiling of the PWTC porch on the second floor to collapse," he told Bernama when contacted today.

He said the department received an emergency call at about 5pm and arrived at the scene six minutes later.
