Veteran politician, Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah never refuted any possibilities for political parties to undertake strategic political reforms, following the issues plaguing Barisan Nasional and Pakatan Rakyat.

He said, it is common for a political party to undergo an evolution process that would weaken or strengthen the formation.

“We know for a fact that there are issues in BN, so there is no different … MIC too has its own set of problems and at the rate things are going, I can tell that UMNO too, has its own issues.

“Each parties … has its own set of issues. But we must experience this phase, the move is strategic, who knows it would be able to strengthen the party,” said the BN Gua Musang MP at Parliament Tuesday.

He also said that both quarters must be bold enough to take the next course of action which is deemed fit for young people.
In politics, a man can become a woman and vice versa … nothing is permanent.

The veteran politician also kept mum when prodded about which house (political party) needs to be maintained accordingly from chaos.

“Since we are dealing with human issues and social affairs … it should be political,” he said.

In any field games involving politics, its players must be ready to undertake a political reform, said Tengku Razaleigh, and this can be highly achievable.

“In politics, a man can become a woman and vice versa … nothing is permanent.

“Your friend today can be your foe tomorrow … and vice versa,” he added.

He also said that the fate of Pakatan Rakyat is largely attributed to the dissimilar ideologies that reveberate within the coalition.

“Some feel that it is a non-issue as it is not hurtful, so they feel that they can continue and remains in a bigger party,” he added.

Tengku Razaleigh was commenting on the DAP Central Executive Committee which had a meeting on Monday to decide on the fate of Pakatan Rakyat.
