AirAsia Bhd will suspend its thrice weekly Kuala Lumpur-Goa (India) services, effective June 7, 2016.

Head of Commercial Spencer Lee said this was part of its route rationalisation initiatives.

"Despite this route adjustment, we remain committed to the Indian market and look forward to return to Goa in future," he said in a statement today.

Following the suspension, the low-cost carrier said it would offer three options for the affected customers.

"They could reschedule their journey to an earlier date before suspension, depending on the availability of seats, or opt for credit shell with 180 days validity, or a full refund," it said.

The airline said it would notify affected passengers via email and short message system.
