Muslims in Malaysia will celebrate Aidilfitri tomorrow, the Keeper of the Rulers' Seal, Datuk Seri Syed Danial Syed Ahmad, announced here tonight.

The announcement was broadcast live by Radio Television Malaysia (RTM).

"In adherence to the command of the Yang di-Pertuan Agong and the consent of the rulers, I hereby declare that the date for Hari Raya Puasa (Aidilfitri) has been set for Thursday, Aug 8, 2013," he said.

Meanwhile, Indonesians will be celebrating Aidilfitri tomorrow (Aug 8). The republic's Minister of Religion Suryadharma Ali made the announcement on the date for the Aidilfitri celebration at his ministry here tonight.

Indonesia has the highest population of Muslims in the world.

Muslims in Singapore will celebrate Aidilfitri tomorrow.

In his Aidilfitri message to Singapore's Muslim Community, Dr Yaacob Ibrahim, Minister for Communications and Information, and Minister-in-charge of Muslim Affairs, said:"We come together to celebrate Hari Raya Aidil Fitri in good spirit, having completed a month of fasting and having engaged in many worthwhile deeds."

He said it was a joyous occasion for all Muslims, for families and friends to come together, renew relationships and give thanks for all that "we have been granted in our lives.
