Football may have been in the spotlight these last few months, but Adidas hasn't forgotten about basketball players. This season, Chicago Bulls center Joachim Noah and other NBA stars will wear the three-stripe brand's new Crazylight Boost shoes, which go on sale to the public August 1. Adidas will launch a second new basketball shoe, the D Rose 5 Boost, on October 16.

Optimal energy return, responsiveness and comfort are the main advantages of the new cushioning technology used in Adidas's latest basketball shoes. This "Boost" technology, which initially proved its effectiveness in the brand's running shoes, is now making its way to the hardwood court. Adidas has brought the concept to a basketball shoe with an exceptionally low weight that inspired its name: the Crazylight Boost.

The new kicks will be worn this season by NBA stars including Joachim Noah of the Chicago Bulls, Mike Conley of the Memphis Grizzlies, Jrue Holiday of the New Orleans Pelicans and Jeff Teague of the Atlanta Hawks.

The Adidas Crazylight Boost shoes will be available to the public on August 1, priced at US$140.

Adidas will launch its other new Boost basketball shoe, the D Rose 5 Boost, on October 16 at the price of US$160. The new shoes will be available at www.adidas.com and in sports stores.
