Several Sarawak leaders have expressed their confidence the new Sarawak Chief Minister Tan Sri Adenan Satem will carry on the good work of his predecessor Tan Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud.

His vast experience in politics is also seen as an advantage, ensuring continued development of the state.

Economic prosperity and political stability will ensure Sarawak remains a fixed deposit for the Barisan Nasional.

Sebuya assemblyman Julaihi Narawi said Adenan’s vast experience will ensure continuity in the development programmes in Sarawak.

Julaihi believes Adenan is familiar with the composition of the state cabinet works which would pave the way for a smooth transition.

Meanwhile Semop state assemblyman Abdullah Saidol hopes more attention is given to the development of the rural communities which have been solid BN supporters.

The rural communities therefore deserve to be given attention in development programmes planned by the state government.
