Women, Family and Community Development Deputy Minister Datuk Azizah Mohd Dun hopes the government will increase the allocation for rural development, especially in Sabah, in the 2015 Budget.

The Beaufort MP said this would resolve problems affecting rural residents, especially in terms of basic necessities such as water and electricity supply, roads and People's Housing Projects (PPR).

"We hope that in this Budget, more PPR houses will be built in the district to cater for the demands by the local community," he told reporters after closing the Beaufort-level 'Semarak Rakyat Komuniti 1Malaysia' programme organised by the Information Department, here last night.

Azizah said the allocations for other government departments and agencies should also be increased so that more courses could be conducted for youths towards producing more skilled labour.

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak is scheduled to table the 2015 Budget in Parliament on Oct 10.
