Too demanding, lack of experience and general knowledge are some of the most common reasons why graduates are still unemployed based on Jobstreets.com report.

Jobstreet Malaysia Manager Chook Yuh Ying said employers often avoid hiring workers who have such criteria.

"Majority of graduates who applies for a job tend to have these criteria whereby they also request a higher salary for the position," said Yuh Ying.

She added employers preferred to hire employee with skills and experience compared to those with mere paper qualifications.

“Other reasons why graduates are not hired into an organization or company are because of bad attitude and not being able to speak English fluently,” she said.
