Captain Wan Amran bin Wan Hussin, 50 was the commanding pilot of flight MH17. He was the beloved father of two sons and was devoted to his 11 siblings and his family. He would return home to his family in Kuala Kangsar once a month to spend time with them in between his busy flying schedules. Before boarding the ill-fated MH17, Wan Amran wrote a text message to his wife that reads 'see you tomorrow'. Wan Amran was planning to perform the Haj next month.
