MCA Deputy President, Datuk Seri Wee Ka Siong claims DAP adviser, Lim Kit Siang has adopted a dirty tactic over the Syariah Courts (Criminal Jurisdiction) Act 1965 (Act 355) issue merely to trap Barisan Nasional component party.

Wee stressed that DAP should explain its real stand to the Malays before urging MCA to do the same.

“He is using dirty tactics, as though making a mockery of the rakyat. Kit Siang is using dirty tactics. He will condemn MCA until the cows come home. So, who started this?

“In the past, he has said that UMNO is vicious, PAS remains unchanged. He said so many things. Why must he oppose to MCA?” said Wee Kiong at Parliament lobby today.

He also stressed that Kit Siang’s ‘dirty tactics’ are aimed at tarnishing MCA when the coalition is a loose binding with no agreement with DAP.

“Why is your stand not justified to the Malay people. It is obvious that there is no agreement among the coalition. Be honest. Don’t find faults and condemn MCA. Using tactics to blind the rakyat.

He stressed that MCA’s stand over Act 355 is similar to what the party president before this.

“MCA President has previously said that our stand is similar. I don’t have to repeat. If the content of Act 355 is similar, MCA’s stand of it remains unchanged,” he added.

Act 1965 (Act 355) tabled by PAS President, Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang was read for the second time last November for amendments.
