Water supply disruption in several areas in Kuala Lumpur due to a burst pipe since Thursday, is now fully restored.

According to Syarikat Bekalan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Syabas), however, for the Petaling Jaya area, only two per cent was still in the process of being fully restored.

"As of 7am today, water supply to 98 per cent of the area in Petaling Jaya has been fully restored and four areas still in the process of being restored are those involving the end of the distribution line and in high areas in Taman Gembira, Salak Selatan, Desa Petaling and Jalan Kuchai Lama," it said in a statement.

The statement added all efforts to expedite restoring the water supply in these areas are being carried out and water supply aid will continue to be sent by tankers to these areas until the water supply is fully restored.
