Two Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) directors have been transferred to the Prime Minister's Department.

According to sources, special operations director, Datuk Bahri Mohamad Zin and strategic communications director, Datuk Rohaizad Yaakob were transferred with immediate effect, on Friday.

Bahri was among the prominent figures involved in the investigation on accounts belonging to SRC International Sdn Bhd, an entity linked with 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB).

A source claimed that the letter from Public Service Department (JPA) also stated that the two were transferred over 'disciplinary problems'.

Meanwhile, according to a report by Malaysiakini, Bahri when contacted, declined to comment further on the matter.

"I might end up (being transferred) elsewhere if I comment on this issue," he was quoted saying.

Bahri has been very vocal on the arrests of several senior MACC officers since last week.
