Former Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad will be attending 'Muafakat Selamatkan Malaysia' rally on March 28 which will be held at Ampang Jaya Municipal Council (MPAJ) field in Pandan Indah.

Organised by Pakatan Harapan, the rally lists out three demands including public institutional reforms, the release of Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, and the resignation of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak

According to a statement by PKR vice president Rafizi Ramli who is also the rally's coordinator, the matter was confirmed by Datuk Seri Khairuddin Abu Hassan, who is also Dr Mahathir’s program coordinator.

In an earlier press conference held by Muafakat Selamatkan Malaysia, the organizing committee chairman Mohamad Sabu said invitations were also sent out to Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin and Datuk Seri Shafie Afdal, apart from Dr Mahathir himself.

"In order to accommodate the schedules of Pakatan Harapan leaders, Tun Mahathir, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin and several other leaders, the date for Muafakat Selamatkan Malaysia rally will be on Monday, March 28, 2016 at 8pm,” said the statement.

Pakatan Harapan leaders are expected to attend the rally alongside other political veterans who signed the Citizens’ Declaration earlier this month.
