Ampang PKR Youth head Adam Rosly said the bungalow he owns in Ampang is tagged at RM1 million and not RM7 million as claimed by Sungai Besar UMNO division head Datuk Seri Jamal Md Yunus.

Adam, 28, however told Astro AWANI here today, he had purchased the property -- located at Jalan Pinang near Kampung Melayu, Ampang -- at a bank auction.

"I bought the house at a bank auction at RM1 million and not RM7 million. The bank sold the house in a dilapidated condition but the shape of it remains the same. It's not as if I had designed the house to look Disneyland-like," he told reporters at the Ampang police headquarters in Selangor on Tuesday.

Adam said he had not expected the purchase could lead to slander and baseless accusations.

"RM1 million is very cheap for a house in Ampang. The house boasts beautiful design and it would be a shame if I didn't buy it. Unfortunately, this news went viral and it has slandered me," he said.

Adam also reminded Jamal not to question his Datukship as the Red Shirts leader had also earned his Datukship at a young age.

"Most people in Malaysia know that there are many rich young people here ... not just me. There are many who have earned their Datukship. If I'm being questioned about this, it should be made known that I was in the same row as Jamal when I received my Datukship.

Adam also denied accusations that he is a proxy to any MPs including PKR Wanita chief, Zuraida Kamaruddin.

"I want to stress that we are a brave party. Ismail Kijo and Jamal can report to the police and Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC)."

Division leaders from UMNO had called for MACC to investigate Adam for owning the purported RM7 million bungalow and a fleet of luxury cars despite, being a newcomer in PKR.
