Tesco Extra Jenjarom Raya open house celebration, the final leg from a series of Hari Raya open houses by Tesco brought customers, communities and its partners together, strengthening the bond within.

"This is the first time that Tesco has organised an open house in this scale in conjunction with Hari Raya for our customers, partners and community.

"This event means a lot to us at Tesco as it deepens our relationship with the local community and allows us to give back to our customers for their support over the years," government and corporate affairs director of Tesco Malaysia Datuk Azlam Shah Alias said in a statement.

Also in Tesco's bid to give back to society, 35 children from Tesco Extra Jenjarom's adopted charity home, Rumah Amal Asnaf Al Barakh, were celebrated.

Hari Raya packets from Tesco were distributed to the children who are also the beneficiary of Tesco's Jalinan Budi Children's Fund.

The fund was set up to benefit the children locally, and also to provide financial assistance to children diagnosed with cancer.

The open house celebration was made successful with the help of many Tesco suppliers and business partners.

Tesco's first grand scale open house celebration began in Shah Alam, Melaka, Alor Star, Kota Bharu and concluded in Jenjarom.

The initial celebrations at the four locations before Jenjarom saw a participation of over 27,000 customers and community members.
