Acting Sultan of Pahang Tengku Abdullah Sultan Ahmad Shah has expressed concern over the worsening drug abuse problem in land schemes in the state.

He said the Conference of Malay Rulers were also concerned about the matter and wanted the relevant parties to take concerted measures to overcome the problem.

"I hope the police will work with all relevant enforcement agencies to overcome this problem and submit a report on the progress made.

"I do not want Felda land schemes to be plagued with drug addicts, This matter needs to be addressed urgently," he said at the Pahang police contingent's Aidilfitri open house yesterday.

Also present were Pahang Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Adnan Yaakob and Pahang police chief Datuk Rosli Abdul Rahman.
