Several areas in the federal capital and the Petaling district will experience temporary water supply disruptions following upgrading work to boost the efficiency of the water distribution system from 3 am on Tuesday (Sept 27) to 8pm the next day (Sept 28).

Kumpulan Air Selangor Corporate Communications Department head, Amin Lin Abdullah in a statement today said all efforts would be taken to complete the work as soon as possible.

In this regard, consumers were urged to store adequate water before Sept 27, he said.

Among the areas that will be affected in Petaling are SS1, SS2, SS3,SS4 (A,B,C,D), SS5 (A,B,C,D), SS6, SS7, SS8A, SS9A, SS20 in Damansara Kim, SS21 in Damansara Utama, SS22, SS22A, PJU3 in Sunway Damansara, Bandar Utama, Tropicana, Tropicana Golf & Country Resort, Taman Tun Dr Ismail, Kg Sungai Penchala and Bukit Lanjan.

The other areas are Pinggiran TTDI, Kg Sg Kayu Ara, Ara Damansara, Seksyen 14, 11, 12, 13, 19, 20, 21, 22, PJU 7 in Mutiara Damansara, PJU8 in Damansara Perdana, Pelangi Damansara, Universiti Malaya, Eastin Hotel, Civil Service Golf Club (KGPA), Kuala Lumpur Golf & Country Club (KLGCC) and Petronas Stations on Lebuhraya Sprint.

Amin Lin said the areas to be affected in Kuala Lumpur are the Selangor Royal Club, Bukit Kiara Resort, Bukit Kiara Sport Centre, National Science Centre, National Institute of Public Administration (INTAN), Securities Commission Malaysia and Jalan Batai.

Also to be affected are Idamansara, Changkat Semantan, Jalan Damansara Endah, Jalan Setiamurni 5-12, Jalan Setiabakti, Jalan Setiakash, Education Technology Division, Sime Darby Convention Centre, Jalan Setiabistari, Jalan Setiabudi, Jalan Setiarasa, Jalan Setiaraya, Jalan Setiajaya, and Jalan Medan Setia.

Also Jalan Setiamurni 1-4, Persiaran Basong, Jalan Dungun, Jalan Bruas, Taman Seri Beringin, Jalan Gelenggang, Jalan Derumun, Jalan Chemperai, Persiaran Beringin, Jalan Chelagi, Jalan Teruntung, Jalan Chempenai, Jalan Birah, Jalan Beka and Jalan Balau.
