Some areas in the Klang Valley will undergo water disruption scheduled to take place from 9pm on July 28 until 5am on July 29 due to upgrading of the water supply system.

Syarikat Bekalan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Syabas) in a statement said the water disruption was due to the installation of 450mm butterfly valves in Jalan Raja Nong, Klang and Bulatan Mestika in Section 6, Shah Alam.

"Among the areas that will be affected by the water disruption in Klang are Specialist Medical Centre, Jalan Raja Nong 1, Jalan Raja Nong 2, Jalan Sungai Jati and Taman Sentosa.

"In Shah Alam, the areas involved are Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM), Putramas Section 7, Jalan 7/1 to Jalan 7/11, Section 3 and Section 7," the statement said.

Syabas advised consumers to store adequate water and to use water prudently throughout the disruption period.
