The Sultan of Johor has issued a warning to all politicians not intervene in palace affairs or make statements linked to the palace.

Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar also advised politicians not to sound arrogant while making statements.

“What’s important to me is the well-being of the people and the prosperity of Johor must be maintained through the unity and solidarity of Johoreans.

“As such, I would like to advise politicians, among them the Kempas state assemblyman, not intervene in palace affairs or make statements linked to the palace,” he said.

The Sultan stressed he had never interfered in the affairs of any political party although he had been approached by many political leaders to do so.

The Sultan of Johor had earlier launched the Masjid Tunku Laksamana Abdul Jalil at the Johor state police headquarters.

His speech had also been posted on the official Facebook page of the Johor Southern Tigers.

Kempas state assemblyman, Tengku Putra Haron Aminurrashid had reportedly made a statement asking the Tengku Mahkota of Johor, Brigadier General Tunku Ismail to extend his warning to politicians, who had approached his father for personal gain, to business tycoons in the state as well.
