Students might become indisciplined and be prone to various crimes if parents fail to give proper attention, says Johor police chief, Datuk Seri Wan Ahmad Najmuddin Mohd.

He said teenagers needed attention and firmness from their parents to supervise their daily activities so that they would not be easily influenced into doing negative things.

He was speaking to reporters after presenting letters of credence to SMK Tengku Mahmud 2 prefects, librarians and guidance prefects here Sunday.

On bullying cases involving schoolchildren, Wan Ahmad Najmuddin said the state police supported the education ministry's six-month suspension with immediate effect, on those found guilty. -- Bernama
