Health Ministry Director-General Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah urged netizens to refrain from spreading false news on the passing of one of the country’s broadcasting icon, Datuk Mahadzir Lokman.

In a Facebook post today, Dr Noor Hisham further clarified that Mahadzir is currently in stable condition.

“As reported by the mass media, he is currently admitted in the ICU at UMMC (University Malaya Medical Centre) in Petaling Jaya, Selangor. His clinical condition is stable and he was able to respond to my call by opening his eyes when I visited him earlier this evening,” said Noor Hisham.

He said that the necessary investigations and treatments are being carried out by a team of experts in UMMC.
