Rapid KL LRT and Monorail service provider, Rapid Rail Sdn Bhd will replace the tracks of Sri Petaling LRT line, between the PWTC and Titiwangsa station, beginning from this Tuesday (Nov 8).

Prasarana Malaysia Berhad (Prasarana) said the replacement will be done at night, after its operation time, from 1am to 4am, until Nov 22.

"Under the upgrading work that is carried in stages, the old rails will be cut and replaced with new ones.

"The work will be monitored in detail by Rapid KL's team of engineers to ensure work that work progresses smoothly and complies with procedures. There will be no disruptions to services," said a statement.

Prasarana said throughout the upgrading, the movement of trains between the two stations will be slowed down and the waiting time will be increased by about a minute, until the tracks have been fully replaced for the safety of its passengers.
