A local music composer together with Malaysians singers have come up with a song, dedicated to all those on board of the Malaysian Airlines (MAS) MH17 and the missing MH370.

Composer, singer and songwriter Patrick Leong said the song 'While we have the time" was originally composed for MH370 a few months ago.

"Now adding the tribute to MH17 with a heavier heart,” Leong wrote on the YouTube page of the song.

The number was sung by Leong, along with local singers Jaclyn Victor, Juwita Suwito, Debra Robert, Tommy Thai and Rydee Anna.

“While the world awaits the fate of MH370, a seemingly senseless event that took the lives of 239 passengers and crew on board, we are left simply speechless and dumbfounded. All we can even hope for all of them are expressions in our prayers.

“While we pay our tributes to all on board MH370, we are reminded of the fragility of life.

“All the more for those who are still living, is what this tribute continues to resonate in, which is to love your neighbour as you love yourself while we have time,” Leong added.

The Malaysian Boeing 777 jetliner with 298 people aboard was en route from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur when it was shot down Thursday in the Donetsk region of eastern Ukraine.

Meanwhile, MH370 carrying a total of 239 passengers and crew members, went missing on March 8. The plane is yet to be found.
