The six people, three of them police officers, arrested in Melaka yesterday by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission have been remanded for six days from today.

Magistrate Muhamad Safuan Azhar issued the remand order at the Magistrate's Court here upon an application by the MACC.

News reports stated that the three police officers were two ASPs and an inspector.

All the six people, aged between 31 and 50, were arrested in an operation conducted between 9.30am and 9.50pm yesterday for allegedly collecting protection money from massage parlours and illegal gambling dens in Melaka.
