Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak should set up a Royal Commission of Inquiry (RCI) into the issue 1Malaysia Development Berhad’s finances.

This was the call made by DAP leader Lim Kit Siang, who said the scandal surrounding the strategic development company was not being handled in a responsible and satisfactory manner.

He said at the Cabinet meeting on Wednesday, the 1MDB scandal should be the Cabinet’s sole agenda, and a full and proper accounting should be made by the Cabinet as all ministers cannot continue to feign ignorance or irresponsibility for the company scandal.

Lim said in his speech during the DAP Chinese New Year Kopitiam Ceramah in Labis on Sunday.

Earlier, PetroSaudi International (PetroSaudi) has refuted allegations that it had siphoned funds from 1MDB, as claimed by a media web report yesterday.
