KUALA LUMPUR:The Semenyih water treatment plant is back in operation, Syarikat Bekalan Air Selangor (Syabas) said in a statement today.

“The Semenyih water treatment plant resumed operation at 3:15 am this morning. Water is being channeled to service reservoirs for gradual restoration in the Districts of Hulu Langat, Kuala Langat, Sepang and Petaling,” it said.

“Every effort is being undertaken to restore the water as soon as possible,” it added.

The Sungai Semenyih water treatment plant has to be shut down again on Friday at 4.15pm when the bund at Sungai Buah gave way after heavy downpour at the upstream of the river in Nilai.
