Religious schools under the supervision of the Selangor Islamic Religious Department (JAIS) will also close tomorrow, in line with the decision of the Education Ministry.

JAIS director, Datuk Haris Kasim said in a statement today that the closure was due to the haze which had yet to subside.

"No replacement class is necessary, but the school staff must come to work as usual," he said.

Meanwhile, he suggested that all mosques and surau perform the 'hajat' prayer after the Friday prayer to seek an immediate end to the haze problem.
