Two former ministers who are also members of Parliament (MPs) have been nominated for state assembly seats for the 16th Sabah State Election (PRN) on September 26.

Penampang Member of Parliament, Datuk Darrel Leiking was nominated for the Moyog seat (N26) while Lahad Datu Member of Parliament, Datuk Mohamaddin Ketapi was nominated for the Segama seat (N61).

The president of Parti Warisan Sabah (Warisan), Datuk Seri Mohd Shafie Apdal has announced the list of 53 lists candidates who will use the Warisan logo, namely from DAP and Amanah.

Of that number, 45 seats were going to be contested by Warisan, seven for DAP and one for Amanah.

Meanwhile, for the seats to be contested by United Progressive Kinabalu Organization (UPKO), its President Datuk Seri Wilfred Madius Tangau has announced the 12 state seats involving the party.

Madius, who is also the former Sabah Deputy Chief Minister, has been nominated for the N15 Kiulu seat.
