UMNO Supreme Council member, Datuk Seri Mohamed Nazri Aziz stressed that the RM2.6 billion fund deposited into Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak’s personal account comes from a “brotherly” nation in the Middle East which wanted the party to win the previous General Election.

Mohamed Nazri who is also Tourism and Culture Minister dismissed claims that Malaysia is probably under the influence of the Middle East after receiving the fund.

“It is not like the United States which can influence us. But this is only a brotherly nation who wants to see certain parties win in the general election because we are friendly to them. There is nothing wrong,” said Mohamed Nazri at the sidelines of the Declaration of National Heritage event at the National Museum today.
