Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak today reminded Muslims to enhance their obedience and submission to Allah, like performing the tarawih prayer at mosques and surau, during the month of Ramadan, with only about two more weeks left.

He said they should not let go of the opportunity offered during this holy month to seek forgiveness from Allah (God).

"I hope we remain spirited to celebrate the nights of Ramadan at mosques and surau in joining the congregation to perform the tarawih prayer.

"For those with constraints, perform the tarawih where there is time, even on your own. Insya Allah (God willing), with sincerity and belief in Him, we will receive His blessings," he said in his latest post on his blog at NajibRazak.com today.

Najib said Ramadan was special as the month not only provided an opportunity for Muslims to improve relations with Allah, but also forged closer ties among family members and brotherhood among the Muslim community.

The prime minister said he was glad to see Muslims, young and old converging at mosques and surau to perform the tarawih prayer.

"For example, last night at the Pengkalan Aur Mosque, Perak, I was happy to see a huge congregation, everybody seeking blessings in this holy Ramadan month," he said.
