PRIME Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak, who is on an official visit to India, was invited to meet Indian superstar Rajinikanth at his residence today.

Najib posted a picture of himself with the actor on his official Twitter page on Friday.

"Just had a very warm n friendly meeting with Mr Rajinikanth the Tamil superstar at his home," he tweeted.

Rajinikanth has sent an invitation to meet Najib as he couldn’t do it when he was in Malaysia last year to shoot parts of his hit movie "Kabali".

“When i was shooting Kabali for almost two months in Malaysia, they extended an extremely good cooperation. So, I tried to thank him there, but he was so busy. I couldn’t meet him there.

"It just so happens that he is here in Chennai, I contacted him to meet and he accepted my invitation,” Rajinikanth said to the Indian press after the meet.

He added saying that Najib has invited him to do more films in Malaysia.
