Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) vice president Rafizi Ramli has been detained by police today soon after he lodged a report in connection to 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB).

This was confirmed by PKR Communications director, Fahmi Fadzil at around 7.30pm, today.


Rafizi who is also Pandan MP via his personal Twitter account had earlier stated that he was to go to the police station to file a report on 1MDB at the Dang wangi police headquarters, here.

He was believed to be detained in connection to the ‘Kita Lawan’ rally held on March 7.



Rafizi on Monday said that he would lodge a report against Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak and two other individuals, Low Taek Jho and Datuk Shahrol Halmi in connection to the 1MDB issue.

He added that Jho Low, an entrepreneur and Shahrol, former Chief Executive Officer of 1MDB should be investigated for money laundering.
