The police have completed the investigation paper on a statement by former Malacca chief minister Tan Sri Abdul Rahim Thamby Chik who alleged the Raja Muda of Selangor, Tengku Amir Shah had converted to Christianity.

Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar said the police were waiting for instructions from the Attorney-General's Chambers for further action.

"We know that he (Abdul Rahim) had apologised several times for his statement (on the so-called conversion), but it is up to the Attorney-General's Chambers to investigate," he said.

He was speaking to reporters at the Xiao En Centre in Jalan Kuari, Cheras here Friday after paying his final respects to former Sarawak police commissioner Tan Sri Yuen Yuet Leng who passed away Thursday at age 88.

He said police had received several police reports on Abdul Rahim's allegation.

Several media had reported that Abdul Rahim had uploaded on his Facebook account claims the Raja Muda of Selangor had converted.

On Sept 30, the Selangor Council of the Royal Court vehemently denied that Tengku Amir Shah had converted.
