Probe into death of Datuk Syed Alman Zain Syed Alwi is completed, said Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr S. Subramaniam.

"Police might conclude their investigations this week. When both parties have completed their probe, we can take appropriate action," he told reporters after opening a Talent Search programme organised by the Malaysian Indian Football Association (MIFA) today.

"Once the rpeorts are completed, the ministry will decide on the next course of action under the Health Ministry's jurisdiction and police will decide any action based on the criminal procedure code," he added.

Syed Alman Zain, 44 passed away on June 1 at the University Malaya Medical Centre (PPUM) after seeking treatment at a private dental clinic in Bangsar.

He was the founder of information technology company, i-Gen Technology and the Welfare and Education Fund chairman of Gerakan Belia 4B Shah Alam.

Syed Alman, is married to Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi's eldest daughter, Datuk Nurul Hidayah.
