A minor who was suspected to have been used to distribute drugs was nabbed in a police raid in Kampung Jaya Baru, yesterday.

Kunak District police chief, Supt Mohd Nasaruddin M Nasir said the local boy, 12, was detained while sitting on a sofa in the living room of a house at 11 pm.

"He was holding a small non-branded multi-coloured bag. An inspection found six opaque plastic packets of various sizes containing clear crystals suspected to be Syabu weighing seven grammes," he said in a statement here today.

He said banknotes totalling RM60 in various denominations were also found on the boy which were believed to be proceeds from the sale of the drug.

In the meantime, Nasaruddin said the suspect was believed to have been carrying out the activity for the past one year. - BERNAMA
