Police are tracking down the mastermind of the 'Macau Scam' syndicate following the arrest of 52 Chinese nationals involved in the syndicate on April 16, said Kuala Lumpur deputy police chief, Datuk Law Hong Soon.

Law told a press conference that the 52 arrested had entered the country with using visitor visas and were deceived by the syndicate with offers of lucrative jobs in this country, by turning them into operators of the Macau Scam.

Meanwhile, in a separate case, Kuala Lumpur CID chief, SAC Zainuddin Ahmad said police were in the midst of tracking down all suspects involved in a robbery at a gold smith in Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman on April 10.
