Police can use their discretion to allow people who wish to travel more than 10 km to get food or medical supplies, said Senior Minister (Security Cluster) Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob.

He said it included cross-state travel even though phase two of the Movement Control Order (MCO) had restricted travel to not more than 10km.

"Yesterday we had people who wanted to get medical services, but the hospital was more than 10 km away, so they had to cancel their plans even though health is the main concern of the government.

"We even introduced the MCO to protect the people's health," he told reporters after chairing a special ministerial committee on MCO meeting here today.
