The warmth side of Malaysia's premier, Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak with local artistes stood out at the National Transformation 2050 (TN50) dialogue session with the Prime Minister at Seri Perdana here tonight.

The two-hour event, attended by about 300 young and veteran artistes, kicked off in a casual atmosphere with the selfie session between Najib and the moderator of the dialogue session Datuk Rosyam Nor, who is also an actor and a film producer.

"Fellow artiste friends will certainly envy seeing me taking selfies with the prime minister," said Rosyam who jokingly requested Najib to follow his Instagram account, iamrosyam.

Najib then took out his smart phone and replied: "I must post this selfie."

Both of them were seen hugging each other while taking selfies.

The event was enlivened with performances by several local singers, namely Haziq of Akademi Fantasia (AF) , Syamil (AF) and Wany Hasrita, followed by the dialogue session with Najib.

Meanwhile, famous comedian Zizan Razak said the event organised by the prime minister showed that Najib did not underestimate the contributions of artistes on the country''s development.

"The delivery by the prime minister on TN50 tonight has indirectly motivated the artistes to work harder. I'm hoping that what had been suggested by the fellow artistes would be taken into consideration, especially on the welfare part," he said when met after the event.

During the question-and-answer session, two arts activists were seen to be involved in a scuffle in front of Najib but it ended with the duo patching things up and shaking hands with each other.
