Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak and his wife, Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor, today attended Gerakan's Chinese New Year Open House at the party's headquarters in Cheras here today.

The arrival of the couple, who were clad in traditional Chinese attire, were welcomed by Gerakan top leadership line up led by its president Datuk Seri Mah Siew Keong to the accompaniment of a lion dance performance.

The prime minister spent about half an hour minggling with other guests at the open house and signed a caligraphy painting specially made for the event.

Also present were MCA president Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai, UMNO secretary-general Datuk Seri Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor and former MIC president Datuk Seri S. Samy Vellu. -- BERNAMA
