PUTRAJAYA: Players in the creative fields have been urged to play a role in instilling moral values in their works in an effort to mould the society in line with the National Transformation 2050 (TN50) vision.

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak stressed that the effort is important in shaping a high value civilization in the country.

"Recently, the issue of bullying and gangsterism in our society has become a major concern of our society. I hope you can play a role to inculcate more noble humanitarian values in our society.
"Not only that we need to develop highways, bullet trains, skyscrapers and so on, but we want to also build a high value civilization," he said at a breaking of fast event at the Seri Perdana on Sunday.

Datuk Seri Najib, who was clearly disappointed with the prevalent issues of bullying in the country, said various media channels in the country should endeavor to inculcate humanitarian values in their contents.

“I hope you will play your respective roles to instill noble humanitarian values in our society,” he said.

Present at the event were more than 2,000 guests comprising literary figures, humanists, writers, cartoonists and artistes, including veterans.
