Heads of government departments have been encouraged to organise their own dialogue on the National Transformation 2050 (TN50) with department staff, said Chief Secretary to the Government Tan Sri Ali Hamsa today.

He said such an effort could better reach out to more civil servants who wished to voice out their aspirations for a better nation come 2050.

"Where ever we get the chance, let's give room for more people to voice out their aspirations.

"And then, they can compile those information (aspirations) to be forwarded to the government," he told reporters after a dialogue with civil servants in Sabah here.

After two dialogue sessions with the civil servants, with the first held in Putrajaya in May, Ali said many expressed hope for sustainable environment conservation, better security, quality education and improved living in the future.

He was pleased to note that Sabah was doing well in environment conservation, which had given civil servants in the state a sense of pride.

"What is important right now is to ensure we safeguard our environment. Everyone is concerned about it," he said.

Some 1,200 Federal and state civil servants attended the dialogue.

Ali said he would seek TN50 aspirations from civil servants in Sarawak on July 21 in Kuching.
