Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (PPBM) chairman, Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad stressed that he is not responsible in naming Pakatan Harapan's prime minister candidate.

He said that if people were to choose Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim as the prime minister, there is no reason for him to reject their choice.

In fact, Tun Mahathir has set aside his past with Anwar.

“I have met Anwar several times and he did not ask me anything about that. If we want to delve in old issues, we can never unite.

“Whether he (Anwar) is going to be the prime minister or not, the decision is not for me to make. If people want (Anwar as PM), they have the rights to elect him.

“Even if I do not agree but the majority does, we have to accept,” he said in reply to one of the audiences' question at the Nothing to Hide 2.0 forum at the Raja Muda Musa Hall, here, today.

He urged Malaysians not to bring up the “old” issue of his enmity with Anwar Ibrahim as it will affect the main objective of Pakatan Harapan which is to win the 14th General Election.
