FELDA Global Ventures Holdings chairman Tan Sri Isa Samad said he will not resign as there is no reason for him to do so.

He said although many parties expressed their opinions over the issue, not all of them understood the crisis within the company.

"Everyone has their own opinion. Why would I resign? I am not at fault,” he said at a press conference after donating RM500 to 600 elderly people in Klang Valley at Menara FELDA today.

At the same time, he hoped Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak will not be involved in the FGV crisis.

“It does not matter if I met the Prime Minister or not. I do not want to involve the Prime Minister,” he firmly said.

“It is the duty of MACC. The investigation process of MACC should be referred to them. From my side, we are investigating our show cause and will decide. I do not know the MACC process,” he said.

However, he is ready to meet the MACC if there is a request from them.

“I do not know if the MACC will come to meet me or not. I have not spoken to the MACC so far. If the MACC wants to meet me, I will meet them, but if they do not want to meet me, then there will be no meeting then,” he stated.

He also welcomed the appointment of former minister at the Prime Minister's Department Datuk Seri Idris Jala as an independent assessor in FGV.

“No problem. I have worked with him for a long term. The problem is, wrong is wrong, that’s it. Appointing Idris is good,” he said.

At the same time, Isa stressed FGV will not face crisis as rumoured by some of the parties.

“Actually there is no crisis. Crisis is made up by people. It is nothing. The disciplinary action like this is common. It is just that political people are interested in FELDA," he added.

On Tuesday, the board ordered Zakaria, FGV Trading CEO, Ahmad Salman Omar and Delima Oil Products Sdn Bhd Senior General Manager, Kamarzaman Abd. Karim to take a leave of absence following an investigation conducted by audit company, PricewaterhouseCoopers which was not disclosed to the public.
