The Foreign Ministry has confirmed that there were no Malaysian victims in the two bomb blasts at the Kampung Melayu Bus Terminal in East Jakarta, Indonesia, yesterday.

In a statement, Wisma Putra said the Malaysian embassy in Jakarta was monitoring the incident closely with the local authorities.

"Malaysians who are within the vicinity of the site of the incident are advised to be always cautious and to report themselves to the embassy," it said.

At least two people were killed and several others injured in the two bomb explosions which occurred five minutes apart, and believed to be committed by suicide bombers about 9pm, local time, yesterday (10pm Malaysian time).
