1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB) president and group executive director Arul Kanda Kandasamy said today that he is now willing to accept DAP lawmaker Tony Pua's challenge for a live talk show, without any conditions.

In a report by The Malaysian Insider, Arul Kanda said he has withdrawn the condition that he had set earlier - that Pua must first resign from the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) as the bi-partisan committee is currently investigating 1MDB.

"Today I stand before you openly to declare that I hereby withdraw my condition.

"I will meet Tony Pua for a live televised discussion or talk show or debate without any conditions‎," he told a press conference on Saturday.

Arul Kanda on Thursday had accepted Pua's challenge for the debate, but on condition that the Petaling Jaya Utara must first resign from the PAC "to avoid any conflict of interest".

Meanwhile, Pua has told The Malaysian Insider that he accepted Arul Kanda's declaration to debate on live TV.

"I accept (the challenge). We can do it anytime," said Pua reacting to the 1MDB boss' call.
