PAS spiritual leader, Datuk Nik Abdul Aziz Nik Mat passing is greatly felt by many politicians.

Batu MP, Tian Chua said Malaysia has lost a forward thinking leader.

“I would like to extend my condolences to his family.

“He is a leader who is respected by everyone because he can raise the racial politics that can transcend differences among Malaysians and express the values of Islam as a universal concept that will bring benefits to all Malaysians," he told Astro AWANI when met at a function here on Thursday.

Kluang MP, Liew Chin Tong meanwhile said Nik Aziz has done a great deal for the country.

"I've met him twice. His political style is matured and sophisticated.

"If there is no Nik Aziz in 2008, there is no Pakatan Rakyat. I would like to extend my condolences to his family," he said.

Activist Datuk S. Ambiga who was also met at the event said Nik Aziz is a highly admired leader.

“We all know how admired Tok Guru was. He was an inspiration to all of us,” he said.

Meanwhile, politicians also took to Twitter to extend their condolences.
